During the 17th FINA World Championships and World Masters Championships period we offer a variety of exciting programmes for sports enthusiasts and guests coming from various corners of the world by Duna Arena and Hajós Alfréd Swimming Complex at the so-called FINA Market areas. Programmes are related to three major themes:

Culture – daily concerts and music for all age groups;

Family and children’s programmes with different water related games;

Gastronomy – festival-like atmosphere with a wide range of meals and drinks.

All those interested may visit the Museum of FINA (International Swimming Federation) by Duna Arena, displaying the history and milestones of aquatics. Sponsors of the World Championships will also be present to meet and greet the general public. Besides, a merchandising stand with the mascots and all other official gifts and souvenirs will be available here (and also at other venues).

In the close vicinity of the music fountain on Margaret Island, a stage will be set up in a beautiful green park. Before and after cultural programmes visitors can follow daily broadcasts on a giant screen by the water polo venue. No doubt, Margaret Island will be one of the most authentic fan zones of the World Championships.

Entry to both FINA Markets –by Duna Arena and by Hajós Alfréd Swimming Complex- is free of charge. Opening hours will vary depending on daily competition schedules by Duna Arena, while the venue on Margaret Island welcomes visitors from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The opening and closing ceremony of the World Masters Championships will also be held on the giant stage located in Margaret Island FINA Market, making it a unique point of reference for athletes.

Please note that all individuals and their belongings are subject to security screening at Duna Arena entry points, then tickets are inspected, individuals and belongings are screened again when entering diving or swimming competition venues.

For the sake of security and convenience it is recommended to see the attached file listing all prohibited items.
