Registration for the 17th FINA World Master Championships for athletes will be closed at midnight, 29 June, 2017. The registration procedure for water polo teams and entrants of solo synchronised swimming has been closed already but professional athletes having retired from sport and amateurs engaged in high level sporting activities may register for all other events.

Less than two weeks are left for professional athletes having retired from sport as well as amateurs to apply for the 17th FINA World Masters Championships as entrants: registration will be closed at midnight, 29 June, 2017.

However, for some events of the World Masters Championships staged in Budapest and Balatonfüred between 7 and 20 August, 2017 registration has already been closed. As a result of increased interest, registration for water polo teams as well as  for swimmers entering solo synchro events has been closed before due to the fact that the maximum headcount has been reached.

Please note that registration is required not only for athletes and their coaches. The crew of assistants, attendants and family shall also apply for accreditation via the registration platform. By this accreditation admission to venues is guaranteed, what is more, accreditation holders may use transport facilities free of charge within the capital city and to the open water swimming venues in Balatonfüred from Budapest.

There has been increased interest in the 17th FINA World Masters Championships so far, the number of registrants exceeded 10 000 already at the beginning of this month. Consequently, there is a great chance that this would be the highest attended Masters Championships in its history.
