There is increasing interest in the 17th FINA Masters World Championships, the headcount of some events are getting closer to the limit complying with the rules and regulations determined by the Organising Committee and the International Swimming Federation.
As we have reported already, up to 120 teams are allowed to enter the water polo tournament and the list is almost complete, so the Organising Committee highly recommend that those, who have not yet finished registration (‘paid’ and ‘submitted’) shall do quickly to ensure their entry in the Championships.
The registration system of FINA has indicated that there are some events approaching the ceiling soon, in swimming, also. In accordance with the decision by the International Federation the limit of daily swimming programme is 10 hours, in order to ensure the safe and high quality conduct of events.
According to data from the GMS-system there is high interest in 400m events (16th and 20th August), so it is highly recommended to register for these events as soon as possible, just like in the case of other events on the same days considering the 10-hour daily limit.
The swimming competition of the World Championships will take place between 14th and 20th of August in the Danube Arena and in Hajós Alfréd National Swimming Stadium.
The schedule of the swimming programme is available here.
